Client Centered Practices (move to home page?)
Veteran Centered
When I work with a Veteran, I focus on the veteran and not just the claim. Once I take you on as a client, I want to get you the maximum benefits that you are entitled to. Even if that means filing claims and appeals that will not necessairly lead to payment for me in the end. Additionally, I maintain a client load that allows me to provide each client time they need and deserve.
Compassion
I will work with you to tell your story and want you to fell supported through the entire process. I take a trauma informed approach to my practice and make effort to take trainings on working with people who have experienced trauma and have mental health conditions.
Many veterans face additional challenges in obtaining benefits due to biases. I am commited to providing representation and outreach to minority, unsheltetered, incarcerated, and rural veterans to help bridge the gap in VA benefits.
Support
I want you to feel supported throughout the entire process. I take time to discuss each step of your claim with you, prepare your for exams, assist with drafting detailed lay statements, go over decisions with with, and discuss different options and potential outcomes with you. I have client software where you can securely ask questions, share documents, and receive a copy of all documents I file for you. I will also meet you where you are with technology, I will, within reason, adjust my practices to meet your comfort level.
